  1. I am surprised the catch by Ozzie Smith when he was with the Padres on a hard ground ball and Ozzie dived and the ball hit a rock or clump of dirt and kicked back the other way and Ozzie caught it with his bare hand as it was passing by him and threw the runner out.

  2. I didn't see that great catch Otis Nixon of the Braves did climbing the centerfield wall to steal a homerun away from Andy Van Slyke of the Pirates. There was another game either later that year or the following year where he pretended that he made another great wall-climbing catch. He would wind up pretending that he was going to throw the ball in (twice). He finally fessed up by opening up his hand and glove where the umpire signaled a home run.
